Titanic Belfast Welcomes 3.5 millionth Visitor

This week, Titanic Belfast welcomed its 3.5 millionth visitor, John Yard from Springfield, Illinois, USA!

John, who travelled to Ireland for the fifth time with friends and family, became our latest milestone visitor when they booked with CIE Tours International.

John was greeted with a VIP reception and joined a host of other special guests who received the red carpet treatment including Her Majesty The Queen, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, TITANIC director James Cameron, the discovery of Titanic, Dr Robert Ballard, Taoiseach Enda Kenny and, as well as celebrities including Adele and Michael Bublé, to name a few.

John, a police man, commented, said, “To be named Titanic Belfast’s three and half millionth guest was a wonderful surprise and it certainly made it a very memorable trip for my friends and I. From the moment we arrived, we had a truly titanic time!”

Tim Husbands MBE, Chief Executive of Titanic Belfast, commented, “We are absolutely delighted to welcome John as out 3.5 millionth visitor today! It seems like only yesterday that Titanic Belfast opened and helped turn the city of Belfast into a major player in the global tourism market and now in just under five years, we have welcomed guests from over 145 different countries and have won the World’s Leading Tourist Attraction. There is no doubt about the enduring appeal of RMS Titanic and we are delighted to be recognized as the must-see for those visiting Belfast and Northern Ireland.”
