Lawrence Beesley, a 2nd Class passenger in Titanic, died today at the age of 89.
Beesley, a school teacher, wrote about his experiences in his book ‘The Loss of the SS Titanic’. The book became a best seller and has remained in print to this day and considered by many to be the definitive passenger account of the disaster.
