4th August 1923

On This Day

Almost 1,000 passengers sailed from North Irish ports for Canada in White Star’s Doric (Yard No. 573), the Canadian Pacific liner Warburn and the Anchor-Donaldson liner Cassandra today.

Three fourths of this number were harvesters travelling under the Canadian Governments agricultural scheme, the emigrants bound eventually for Winnipeg.
