NOTES
Arabic was White Star's first duel purpose liner, both passenger and cruise ship. She operated on the Liverpool to New York service and together with Cymric ran on the new service to Boston. She made a number of holiday cruises from New York to the Mediterranean which proved highly successful and led the company to further develop this new concept in ocean travel. She was lost through enemy action on 19 August 1915.
