Ten fun things to do at Titanic Belfast over the Midterm Break
This autumn midterm break, plan a fun-filled day out to Titanic Belfast for the whole family to enjoy some spook-tacular Halloween-themed activities.
Located on the historic Titanic slipways, Titanic Belfast gives visitors of all ages a chance to discover where the famous ship was designed, built and launched.
The Titanic Experience is the world’s most authentic way to discover the sights, sounds, smells and stories of the ship, as well as the people and city that made her.
Visitors can also step on board SS Nomadic, RMS Titanic’s tender ship and the last remaining White Star Line vessel in the world, where they can walk the decks, explore the ship and take a journey through over 100 years of authentic maritime and social history.
Here’s ten fun things to enjoy if you are planning a day out to Titanic Belfast this midterm break:
1.Test your skills with a Halloween-themed Family Explorer Trail.
Make your way through the Titanic Experience and SS Nomadic and uncover clues. Your mission: uncover the scattered letters throughout the experience, piece them together and solve the Halloween word puzzle!
Those who complete it, will earn a sweet treat!
2. Try out our Kids Multimedia Guide
Enhance your little one’s Titanic Experience with our brand-new Kids Multimedia Guide! Specially designed to engage and delight young visitors, this interactive guide adds an extra layer of fun to their visit. Along the way, children can also meet our family-friendly characters and discover their stories throughout the trail!
3. Get creative with Halloween Arts & Crafts
This will be taking place on board SS Nomadic, each day from 12noon – 2pm. Our crew will be on hand to guide the little artists and provide everything needed to bring their Halloween creations to life.
From spooky decorations to Halloween-themed crafts, there’s something for everyone to make and take home as a special memento of your visit.
Children can also design their own monster and upload it to social media with #TitanicBelfastHalloween for a chance to win a Titanic Bear!
4. Capture memories with a family selfie in front of our iconic Titanic sign
The Titanic sign has become an iconic must-have photo for tourists from all over the world.
Did you know the 15-tonne sign is the same weight as Titanic’s main anchor and is made of one giant plate of steel - the same size as the plates used to build RMS Titanic!
5. Explore the decks of SS Nomadic - the last remaining White Star Line Ship in the world
Famous as a tender for RMS Titanic and at a quarter of her size in every dimension, guests can marvel at the original ornate doors, panels, plasterwork and staircases that greeted first and second-class passengers on board, as well as see what life was like as a crew.
6.Create your own memento with our Penny Press in the Titanic Store
Spin the wheel and select your favourite Titanic design.
7. Shipyard Ride
Journey back in time aboard the Shipyard Ride and explore what it was like to be a shipyard worker back when Titanic was built.
8. Take a break in our food outlets
Enjoy some delicious seasonal hot drinks and spooky treats. The Galley and Titanic Store will have spook-tacular sweet treats available to purchase and The Pantry will be giving away a free Halloween themed bun with every child’s meal purchased.
9. Ship of Dreams
Fully immerse yourself in the spectacular Ship of Dreams with an illuminated 7.6m long scale model of RMS Titanic suspended from the ceiling that rotates in sync with state-of-the-art floor to ceiling projections.
10. Discovery Tour
Experience our award-winning Discovery Tour where you’ll find out fact and fable as you walk in the footsteps of the designers and shipbuilders who brought the dream to life.
